The RazorLake ALPHA indicator overlays on your chart and provides visual cues like custom candles, trend lines, Fibonacci zones, and buy/sell signals. It aggregates data from Binance and Coinbase for crypto
assets, focusing on USD, USDT, and USDC pairs, and uses advanced
calculations like On-Balance Volume (OBV), Gaussian regression, and
Unscented Kalman Filters to smooth data and identify trends.
Key Features
- These show buying and selling volume trends with color-coded candles.
- Pale
green and purple candles highlight high-volume bars, indicating strong market activity. - Colors reflect trend strength: bright green for strong bullish, bright red for strong bearish, yellow/orange for mixed signals, and white/blue for neutral trends.
Fibonacci Zones:
- Premium & Discount Zones: These are Fibonacci-based support and resistance areas calculated on lower timeframes, helping you identify potential reversal or breakout points.
- Fib Magnet: Displays bullish or bearish market stance on higher timeframes using Fibonacci retracement levels (0.5 and 0.618).
Trend Indicators:
- Regression Trend (RT): A smoothed trend line using Gaussian filtering and ATR-based channels to show market direction.
- Volatility Range uses an Unscented Kalman Filter to plot dynamic support/resistance bands, helping you gauge market volatility.
- The Volume-Weighted Average Price is anchored to daily sessions and used as a reference for fair value.
- A daily 200-period Exponential Moving Average helps you track long-term trends.
Momentum Signals:
- Fast momentum flips generate buy and sell signals based on trend changes and volatility.
- Signals can be filtered by volume, RSI, or channel breakouts for higher accuracy.
Settings & Customisation
You can adjust the indicator through the input settings, grouped for ease of use:
Candles Group:
- Candles:
Choose between Regular, IQ (volume-based), Long Only, or Short Only candles. - Clean: Enable arithmetic candles for smoother price data using linear regression.
- Dynamic: Adjusts candle opacity based on volume intensity (disable for static colors).
Macro Group:
- Toggle Premium & Discount to show Fibonacci support/resistance zones.
- Enable Fib Magnet for higher-timeframe Fibonacci levels.
- Show 200 DEMA for the daily 200 EMA.
Trend Group:
Enable VWAP, Trend (RLRT), or Volatility Range to display these overlays.
Signals & Filters Group:
Signals: Turn on momentum-based buy/sell signals.
Filters: Add volume, RSI, or channel filters to reduce false signals.
Sensitivity: Adjusts signal sensitivity (0.1 to 2.0; default 1.0). Lower (e.g., 0.7) for conservative signals, higher (e.g., 1.6) for volatile assets.
Timeframe: Set a custom timeframe for signal calculations (leave blank for chart timeframe).
Data Group:
Use Chart Data Only: Use only the chart’s data or include aggregated Binance/Coinbase data.
Stables/Perps: Include USDT/USDC stablecoin pairs or perpetual futures for crypto volume calculations.
How to use it
Add to Chart:
In TradingView, search for "RL: RazorLake ALPHA" and add it to your chart.
Ensure
you’re on a supported market (crypto works best due to data aggregation)
Interpret Visuals:
Candles: Watch for green/purple IQ candles to spot high-volume moves. Bright green/red indicate strong trends; yellow/orange suggest caution.
Fibonacci Zones: Look for price reactions near Premium (resistance) or Discount (support) zones. Fib Magnet lines (yellow/orange) show higher-timeframe bias.
Trend Lines: Use RLRT (aqua/purple) and VWAP (yellow) to confirm trend direction. Volatility bands (purple) show potential reversal zones.
Signals: Green triangles (buy) and red triangles (sell) appear below/above bars when momentum shifts. Use filters to refine these signals.
Customize Settings:
Open the indicator settings and enable/disable features based on your strategy.
For scalping, enable signals with volume filters and lower sensitivity. For swing trading, focus on Fib Magnet and 200 EMA.
Trading Tips:
Combine signals with Fibonacci zones for confluence. For example, a buy signal near a Discount zone is stronger.
Use Volatility Range to set stop-losses outside the bands.
Monitor VWAP to gauge whether the price is above (bullish) or below (bearish) fair value.
Alerts:
Set alerts for buy/sell signals via the “Signal” alert condition. Customize messages to include price, ticker, and timeframe for integration with platforms like Phemex.
